Welcome to SISU Gifting. We make thoughtful gifting simple — but we still need to cover a few serious bits. By browsing our site or placing an order, you agree to the terms below. (We promise they're less painful than most disclaimers.)

1. The Sensible Stuff (General Information)

All content on this website is provided for general information and shopping purposes only. While we do our very best to keep everything accurate, current, and typo-free, SISU Gifting makes no warranties or guarantees (express or implied) about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or availability of any information, products, services, or images on this site.

In short: we try hard, but we're human.

2. Images, Reality & Camera Tricks

  • Our product images are here to inspire you — not to catfish you.
  • Images are for illustrative purposes only and may not be shown to scale.
  • Colours may vary slightly depending on lighting, photography, and your screen settings.
  • Props, décor items, ribbons, glasses of something refreshing, and other products shown in images are not included unless clearly stated.
  • Packaging may change from time to time (brands like to keep things fresh too).
  • We aim for honesty, not optical illusions.

3. What You See vs What You Get (Product Descriptions)

We do our best to describe products clearly and accurately, but:

  • Descriptions may change without notice.
  • Measurements, weights, volumes, and materials are approximate.
  • We can't guarantee that every word on the site is 100% error-free, 100% of the time.
  • If something looks unclear, please ask — we love a good clarification.
  • Images help tell the story — the product you receive may look slightly different in real life.

4. Prices, Stock & Other Moving Targets

  • All prices and product availability are subject to change without notice.
  • If we spot a pricing error or stock issue after you place an order, we'll contact you to sort it out.
  • Stock isn't officially yours until payment is processed and your order is confirmed.
  • We reserve the right to correct mistakes (because maths happens).

5. Third-Party Brands & Supplier Plot Twists

  • Some of our products are made by wonderful third-party brands and artisans.
  • Brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
  • We're not responsible for manufacturers changing ingredients, packaging, or product specs without telling us first (they don't always call ahead).

6. Using Your Lovely New Things

  • All products are sold for their intended general use only.
  • We're not liable for misuse, allergic reactions, improper storage, or creative reinterpretations of what a product is meant to do.
  • Please read labels, care instructions, and ingredient lists before use.
  • Patch tests are always a good idea (especially for skin and beauty products).

7. Health, Beauty & Wellness Bits

  • Any health, beauty, or wellness products sold on this site are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
  • Statements about these products haven't been evaluated by a medical authority.
  • If you have allergies, sensitivities, or medical concerns, please consult a qualified healthcare professional before use.
  • We do gifts. Doctors do diagnoses.

8. Product Safety & Allergy Disclaimer

At SISU, we believe thoughtful gifting should bring joy — not unexpected reactions.

Many of our products are handmade, small-batch, or crafted using natural ingredients. While that's part of what makes them special, it also means they may contain substances that can cause allergic reactions or sensitivities in some people.

Please read product ingredient lists and descriptions carefully before use, especially if you (or the lucky recipient) have known allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions.

When in doubt, we strongly recommend:

  • Performing a patch test before using skincare or body products
  • Checking ingredient lists before consuming any food items
  • Supervising children and pets when using products intended for adults
  • Using products only as directed

Even natural ingredients can be surprisingly enthusiastic about making themselves known to sensitive skin.

SISU cannot be held responsible for allergic reactions, sensitivities, or misuse of products once they have been purchased and used.

If you are unsure about a product's suitability, please contact us before purchasing — we're always happy to help you choose wisely.

9. Gift Cards & Store Credit Policy

Gift Cards - Currently not available:  Watch this Space

SISU gift cards are digital and delivered by email. They can be used toward any purchase on the SISU Gifting website.

Gift cards:

  • Are non-refundable
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash
  • Cannot be replaced if lost or forwarded to the wrong person
  • Valid for 6 months after date of purchase

Gift cards can be used across multiple purchases until the balance is used up.

Because good taste should never go to waste.

Store Credit

From time to time, SISU may issue store credit in place of a refund, promotion, or customer service resolution.

Store credit:

  • Is issued via email with a unique code
  • Can be used toward any online purchase
  • Is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash
  • Must be used within 12 months of issue unless otherwise stated

10. Corporate & Bulk Orders Policy

We love helping businesses gift well. Thoughtful gifting leaves a lasting impression — rushed bulk orders do too, just not the good kind.

Corporate and bulk orders are typically defined as larger-quantity purchases, custom orders, branded items, or orders requiring special sourcing, packaging, or delivery arrangements.

Quotations & Orders

All corporate and bulk orders are handled via quotation. Quotes are valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated and are subject to product availability and supplier pricing.

An order is only confirmed once payment has been received in full, unless written credit terms have been agreed in advance.

Lead Times

Corporate and bulk orders require additional preparation time. Lead times will be communicated when the quote is issued.

While we do everything possible to meet agreed timelines, SISU cannot be held responsible for delays caused by suppliers, couriers, load shedding, weather, strikes, or other events outside our control. South Africans understand.

Customisation & Branded Items

Custom or branded products are made specifically for your order and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once production has begun.

Clients are responsible for approving artwork, spelling, quantities, and delivery details before production starts. We promise to double-check — but you get the final say.

Changes & Cancellations

Changes to corporate or bulk orders may not be possible once sourcing or production has started.

If cancellation is requested after work has begun, SISU reserves the right to charge for costs already incurred.

Delivery

Delivery timelines provided for corporate orders are estimates, not guarantees. We will always communicate proactively if anything changes.

Risk in the goods passes to the client once the order has been handed to the courier or collected.

Returns

Corporate and bulk orders are not eligible for return unless products are defective or incorrect.

Any issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

We take pride in helping businesses gift thoughtfully, professionally, and without unnecessary drama.

11. Shipping, Couriers & The Laws of the Universe

  • Delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by things beyond our control — like weather, traffic, or that one courier who took a scenic route.
  • We pack everything like we're sending it to our own mothers (securely, with care, and possibly too much bubble wrap).
  • We remain responsible for your order until it's safely delivered and accepted by you.
  • We're not responsible for delays beyond our control, but we will help chase things up where reasonably possible.

12. Limitation of Liability (The Very Legal Bit)

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SISU Gifting shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of — or inability to use — this website or any products purchased through it.

13. External Links (Clicking Away)

  • Our site may contain links to other websites for convenience or inspiration.
  • A link doesn't mean we officially endorse everything they've ever done.
  • We have no control over their content or availability.
