When we think about women at work, our minds often jump to offices, boardrooms and city skylines.
But not all work happens behind a desk.
Some women start their day before sunrise, pulling on boots instead of heels and checking the weather before they check their emails.
They teach children to ride.
They guide hikers through mountains and forests.
They lead trail rides, river adventures and outdoor experiences.
They manage farms, work with animals, tend gardens and run businesses under open skies.
They spend their days moving, teaching, fixing, guiding, organising and encouraging.
The tools they rely on aren't always laptops and meeting rooms.
Sometimes it's a well-worn cap.
A water bottle that goes everywhere.
A notebook full of reminders, bookings and ideas.
A phone strap that means one less thing to worry about while juggling everything else.
What they all seem to have in common is a practical approach to life. They know that the right tools don't need to be fancy. They simply need to work.
As Women's Day approaches, we'll be celebrating the women who spend more time outdoors than in. The women who are rarely still, who don't mind a bit of dust, mud or rain.
To the farmers, the riding instructors, the guides, the trainers, the conservationists and the countless women who work under open skies every day:
This Women's Day, we're tipping our caps to the women who get it done outdoors.
We salute you.
